Sarah
Since I can remember, physical activity has played a central role in my life. For the better part of 20 years as a fitness leader I have shared my passion for physical activity with others through group exercise. Though I was first introduced to yoga as a teen, and have regularly attended classes throughout the years, I never felt a need for yoga in my life until becoming a mother. Up until that point, I was only open to the physical benefits of my practice.
Since starting my yoga teacher training in November 2017, the introduction of meditation and inquiry to my physical practice has helped me discover the benefits of yoga on and off my mat. Though I veer off my path on occasion (some months more than others), becoming reacquainted with my mat helps me rediscover what is possible in my life. In my experience, no other physical activity has given me the tools to make change like yoga has. Yoga has became my safe place to decompress, refresh and renew.
What I want for my students is to feel free to use their yoga practice to discover what is possible on and off their mats.
